Deer
When the glaciers of the ice age receded, birch trees were one of the first to re-colonize the rocky, ice-scoured landscape. The birch trees bark attains an almost a pure white color and was used as the material for birch-bark canoes. The wood is tough, heavy and straight grained.
Search among the birch trees which, reach to the cloudless sky, and look diligently across the glen. There you will discover the deer, moving slowly through the cluster of standing timber.
