Winter 1903

"The unusually dry weather of the previous month was rather unfavorable for winter wheat, but probably no material damage resulted, as there was no unseasonably cold weather and no severe wind. Snows were frequent, but light. The month was very favorable for farm work, and corn husking was completed. All work on the farm was in unusually satisfactory condition for the winter."
